: What to plug on my new intake manifold

So, I got the 350-2098 Edelbrock power package and the included intake is the RPM Air Gap (7501). It came with two plugs that fit into the two threaded through-holes on either side of where the distributor slides in. However, I'm guessing one of those holes back there is for the oil pressure sensor? On the other hand, I don't remember one being at the back of my old manifold.

The outlet to the heater hose came off the front edge of my old manifold, but the new one doesn't have one. It's on top. Can I get a right-angle fitting for that one? My engine builder recommended putting the water temp sensor in the side of the driver's side head instead of back up there on top-driver's side of the manifold.

My Holley SA will hang right over the vacuum fitting behind the carb pad and I'm not using a spacer. So, I can't use that location for full manifold vacuum. Do I need to hook anything up to full manifold vacuum? There is an outlet at the back of the carb which I will use for power brakes. There are two outlets angled off the front at the base of the carb and I assume the smaller one is for vacuum advance (upgraded to HEI, by the way).

I guess I'm just looking for a little guidance as far as what gets plugged, what gets used, etc. Sorry if some of this is pretty basic, but I've never upgraded an intake manifold to something more modern...

Thanks!

Some of those ports are for water, and the one at the back (between carb. and the distributor is vacuum. You will need a special fitting from edelbrock that will fit below the rear carburetor float bowl, or you will need to use a carb spacer.

There are a multitude of Vacuum fittings that you can thread into the fitting.

1) The large port on the carburetor base is normally used for your pcv valve system.
2) The two small ports on the carburetor are usually for ported or manifold vacuum. One of these should go to your vacuum advance on your distributor. (I recommend full vacuum). I would put a cap on the ported vacuum stub.
3) transmission - port on fitting.
4) Power brakes - large port on fitting.

Edelbrock #8096 is the low profile vacuum fitting for your brakes.
