about a year ago I buiilt a 383 (5.7 rods) , since then it has had a "sleight RAPPING Noise" can be heard more when it's cold. It's definitely NOT the cam or lifters(changed 'em twice)(hydraulic w/ flat tappets) pulled the engine out & checked all the bearings(perfect) . cannot find it with a stethescope, but driving down the road, (slowly) especially next to a "wall", it can definitely be heard. definitely NOT the flywheel, flywheel bolts,or converter bolts. Exactly What does a Wristpin rap sound like ??? can it be a Bad piston ?? compression is 185 in every cylinder ! Help !
