I bought a set of fuel lines and the correct inline filter for my '69 LM1 engine (same set-up as an L48). The fuel lines didn't come close to lining up correctly even though they were bent on a CNC machine (as the item description stated). I tweaked the lines and tweaked the lines but haven't been able to get them to not leak fuel when the engine is cranked over. Any ideas as I'm ready to buy a different set of fuel lines. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you get them from http://www.rightstuffdetailing.com/about_us.htm?

I've bought several items from them over the years and have never had a problem.

The lines have flaired seats and they won't seal if you have bent the tubing under the tightening nut or there is excessive pressure pulling on the nut and tubing at the fitting. It's really obvious when you look at the nut and tubing to see it not coming straight out of the nut. Try attaching the fitting that is leaking first before attaching the other end of the tubing, then align the loose end of tubing so everything pushes on well with no pressure on the nut or tubing at the fitting...

Were they stainless steel or regular steel lines?

These were steel lines.

Upon further review I believe I got a bad flare causing my leaking.
