Has anyone used the L2166NF pistons with a newer style combustion chamber on most aluminum heads now on the market. Thinking about changing my 461's but didnt know if i would have clearence issues.

That's the piston I use in my 68 Forged Medium Journal 327 4 bolt 010 Block but I run a set of Grumpy Spec'd 281 Turbo Castings. To me if you can bolt after market Alu-Cylinder Heads on a 350cu running domes, I can see no issues bolting them onto a 327 as they are basically a LT1 engine.

You shouldn't have any problems with the modern fast burn type chambers. I have those pistons with these heads on my 327 with no issues.

They won't work with Vortec style chambers though because the point of the heart shape sticks out too far into the chamber.

Good info Mark: I wasn't thinking Vortec could be after market.
