I am trying to get a faster rise rate on the front end of my car in hopes of better weight transfer.
I have Calvert's 90/10s so the shocks are not the issue. I run stock 6 cylinder springs with a full 5" of travel.
What have you guys done to the bushings, etc. in the A-arms to loosen things up a bit?
I do drive on the street so it can't be too sloppy but it just still feels a bit tight on the extension.

My set up on my 69 big block Camaro consists of Moroso springs, upper control arm bushings,Calvert or Carrera shocks, and Del-A -Lum lower control arm bushings. This is what works for me, just be sure nothing binds.

Remove the bolts and washers on the ends of the upper control arm shaft.
Stack AN 3/8 inch flat washers between the large OE flat washer and the bushing insert.
Install the hardware package. This does not allow the bushing to be crushed.
AN flat washers for this application, will have a 3/8" ID with a 9/16" OD.
Change the springs to Moroso springs.
Transfer weight from the front to the rear, or remove weight up front.

make sure your remove your front sway bar.. makes a huge difference. my front end wouldnt lift at all, but I unbolted the sway bar and installed tubular a-arms with delrin bushings.. huge difference.. front came right up.

Keep the 6 cylinder springs and work on the bushings. If you want to spend a couple bucks go with Del-alum bushings to free things up. The other oprion is AFCO control arm bushings, they are steel and greasable. The stock bushings or even the aftermarket poly bushings will bind.

Thanks guys! I looked up the del-a-lum and the AFCO greasable aluminum bushings. That looks like the hot ticket and I will do that, or try the washer trick.
I think the A-arm bushings are the problem. In fact, I think when I swaped out the springs the bushings were over tightened because it seems like it used to move more freely.
I ditched the sway bar years ago.

Make sure you do the lower bushings as well, a must do!

All good advice here. Go for it!
I used the poly bushings, big disaster. They were very sticky!
so I machined the center pins down for a slip fit, and honed the shells for the same.
I also had to do the washer trick on the uppers. a pain in the butt for the same result as the Delalums of the Afcos....but neither were avail when I built my car.
I plan to switch to the afco over the winter.
