I'm excited at the prospect of going to the Lonestar Nationals this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway held by Good Guys.Hope ya'll are too and see ya there! Went last year for the first time and was much impressed how everyone from mild customs,run-whatcha-brung, to trailer queens and top notch customs were all in the same show.I didn't get to cover it all last year.Probably won't this year but I will enjoy it just as much. I plan to get there early,sit on the hill by the tunnel and let the parade come by. :hurray::hurray::hurray:

Its a great show. Been there about 5 times. Kinda boring now,,,always the same but still a great show. I am going Cruisin the Coast in Mississippi this year. Make sure you get there early because the line is long getting your car into the show. They start showing up a 5/5:30 am to get in. Spectators can just walk in though. Have fun.

Also get in line to drive your car on the oval track on saturday night. Thats a blast. Just dont try to pass the lap car.

Also they have the Busch cars there and you can make 3 or 4 laps in one as a passenger for like 100.00. My wife did it 2 years ago or make some laps in the Busch limo car for 20.00.

The damdest thing I saw was what a vendor or the track people used at TMS to carry several people around the track at a time.Looked like a limo that had the roof cut off with rollbars.Carried several people,had open exhaust and just bombed around the track.Hard to estimate the speed. I don't think they were going that fast.

That is the busch limo car. It looks very slow going around the track compared to the busch cars on the track.

It probaly goes about 60mph around the track compared to 150 / 160mph.
