How much of a PIA is it to change over from the standard interior to the deluxe interior? What are the differences?
I'll probably go black, or black/houndstooth (but I don't think houndstooth was an option on verts.)
Thanks!

I read on CRG that Verts came with Vynil only although I have also read that there were a few early built 69s that had houndstooth? If thats the case then it was probably available in 68 as well?

other than the obvious differences in door panels you would need to change your window regulators and handles as well as door opening mechanism and handle

I know of a local '69 convertible with Hugger Orange paint code and 712 Deluxe Comfortweave interior. For a convertible you want to consider White Houndstooth, it may be cooler to sit on.

I`m not for certain but your back seat frame is not as wide with the deluxe due to the armrest difference.

I converted my 67' to deluxe with an int. i bought from a wrecked car. The rear seat is approx. 3 in. narrower do to the rear panels. The front window regs. as said before are approx. 1/2 " longer also due to the deluxe panels. You also have int. lights in the sail panels with wiring to match. I believe i read on here someone said you could make deluxe seats from standard ones but i don't know about that. hope this helps.

Thanks Eric. Had I known all the extra things I needed to get to do the convert I might not have done it. It is just rare for me to see any with the deluxe int. at car shows and cruise nights I thought it would make mine diff. Oh well too far in now to turn back..lol So what else is new?

if you're looking for the deluxe/convertible rear seat and a set deluxe seat buns for the front two seats let me know...

I'm converting my 67's standard interior to a deluxe and I bought a rear seat out of a 69 to use. It's covered with black 69 standard upholstery. I'd read that the 68's & 69's used nothing BUT the smaller seats. But after looking at the initial fit, it seems to be the exact same size as my standard 67 rear seat, which I sold today. It doesn't appear to have room for the arm rests or filler panels to fit between the seats and the body, but I haven't tried to fit them yet.
So now I'm confused. Do I have to use a deluxe/convertible rear seat no matter what year it came from??
Any help would be great.
Thanks!

I converted my standard regulators to deuxe regulators. Measure the length of the crank stem. You need the ones that are about 1/4 to 3/8 longer. I went to a pick-a-part and found some longer ones. The are held in with 3 pop rivets. I drilled out the pop rivets and then mounted them to my standard door window regulators. They are a pain to do though.
