I would like to put Cragar SS's on my 69 Camaro. I am thinking about 15X7 for the front and 15X8 for the back. I want to stay realtively conservative, so no 16 or 17 etc. I want to avoid fender and wheel well rub. I am not sure about the backspacing, etc... Does anyone have any experience with these? Any clearance problems?

I just went through this recently on my '69 coupe and, after hours of research, I settled on 15x8 wheel vintique rally wheels with 4.5" backspacing on all four. I am running BFG radial T/A 255/60/15s in the back and 225/60/15s in the front and have only a slight thunk in the front on rolling left turns.(not sure where it is coming from yet) I have stock suspension with multi-leafs in the rear. Despite the slight thunk in the front, I am very pleased with the outcome. I also have plenty of room in the rear to run 275s in the future.
If you wanted to go conservative with 15x7s in the front, the general consensus from everyone is 4" backspacing. If I were to do it again, I might have opted for the 15x7s on the front since 15x8s are a little overkill for 225s and the 15x7s may have avoided the "thunk". For 15x8s in the rear, the 4.5" backspacing works great; no issues whatsoever and plenty of room to upgrade to 275s.
Hope this helps. Good luck. :D

4.5" b/s on a 8" wide wheel will have you very close to the outside fender in front...and you are asking for rubbing troubles.
