I am going to put a set of conectors in my 1967 camaro. Does anyone think that this takes away from the value of a painted bottom car? And has anyone seen a great difference putting them in? And once in would they come back out? Thanks Wes:yes:

The Hotchkis frame connectors tuck a lot better. The Global West look like small exhuast pipe under the car. Below is a pic of some hotchkis connecotrs we installed.

As for do they help, YES in big letters. Can they come back out, sure, but you will have some touch up to do as they plug weld at the back of the connectors.

And yes we have a 20% off Hotchkis sale

Hey Wes, I have the Global West connectors in my car. I bought them before the Hotchkis ones were available. I like the GW connectors, but if I were buying them now I'd definitely get the Hotchkis ones, they have a nicer design, and do look like they tuck up better. As long as the install was done nicely I don't think they'd take away any value, if your car was 100% original number matching it would be a different story, but I remember from previous threads you have an LS2? That would make them very appropriate in your car, then, in my opinion. Here is a pic from a few years ago of my GW connectors so you can compare them to the Hotchkis ones in Frank's post above.

As far as mounts go, I'm using all aluminum mounts (Global West). It's important to reduce flex as much as possible between the body and subframe once you tie them together with the connectors, the rubber mounts would probably be counterproductive. I'm not sure about the poly, they would likely be better than rubber, but I'd consider going right to the solid aluminum ones.

Thanks Mike for the input. I guess i am going to have to see both. I like the way Hotckis welds in. But i also like how small the G/W are. At my cost the Hotckis is almost a 100.00 more? But i dont know it i should buy just on cost? Thank You Frank...This form would suck with out guys like you. Wes

Wes, poly mounts are fine. Your Team Camaro member cost on the Hotchkis frame connectors for a couple is only $277

hi, im new here and was wondering if there is certain hp # number where subframe connectors are a good idea. Im building a 69 z28 clone car with some upgraded areas. i am almost done building the engine so i have no idea what kind of power to expect... i will dyno it when im done and just wanted a opinion. i want to do the poly mounts everywhere i can, im just gonna run the corvette rallys for now and i never plan on putting slicks on it. its gonna be a driver, not a trailer queen but will rarely see time at the track.

It is not so muchhorsepower limit, although when you get big power you absolutly want frame connectors. But frame connectors firm the car up and make it a nicer car period, no matter how much horsepower. I think all but concours restored 1000 point show cars should have them.

thanks, i was at a toss up on having them or not. i guess i was in a little bit of denial, i thought that if the z cars didnt have them in 69 then mine shouldnt either. then i remembered that they didnt have factory power disk brakes all the way around or headers ulness you ordered it.
