That was my second favorite part of deployment training. It's actually pretty fun if you've got a good squad.

I thought Fort Ord was closed. It's where I did basic way back in 74. I went to Polk for mortar crewman training after that. You haven't lived til you've done Fort Polk in July, August and September.

Then again I hear the "The Sandbox" makes that look like a picnic....

yeah. i got pinned in april. i was #4 outof 50 1stSgts. it took me long enough. i enlisted in 1986.

I loved MOUT training. Mine was at Camp Bullis, TX when I was Security Forces. And then last Oct at Ft Dix, NJ before deploying to Iraq.

Really fun if you let yourself get into it!
