In one of the threads there was mentioned that the doors had a date code. This is the only stamping I could find on the door. Can anyone decode this?

That could be right because the trim tag build date is Jan. 67 2nd week. But were there 53 weeks in 1966?
I found this 1966 calendar and it doesn't show it as being a leap year. I found that 1964 was the leap year.

Maybe someone had a hang over from Sunday night ( New Years Eve) and forgot to reset the stamping tool.

53rd week would be last week of Dec. The first manufacturing "week" could have less than seven days, depending on what day the first of Jan was. There are 52 weeks plus one day in the year (two days in leap year). If the first week had five days, the last "week" would have 3 days. I believe 1963 calendar would be the same as a 91, which would make Jan 1 on Tues, leaving 5 days in the first "week". I am sure John Z can tell me if I am wrong.

I think you're correct - I'm staring at a 2009 G.M. production calendar, and week 1 was Thursday, January 1 through Saturday, January 3. Week 53 is Sunday, December 27 through Thursday, December 31.

Lynn why would we count the weeks in 1963. My car is a 1967 and the build date was the 2nd week in 1967. The doors would be built in 1966 not 1963.
I checked the 1966 calendar and New Years Day was on a Saturday and the workweek started on 3rd. The last workweek in December was from the 26th to the 30th. There was 52 week in between.

The reason I ask Nov for the 53rd week was thinking about build dates on trim tags. If a car was built 02E, that would be the 10th work week even though there was only 2 days left in the 5th week of feb 1968. The next 3 days would've been 03A. If Fisher built the bodies, wouldn't this be a reason for H53? Joe

Doh! No idea what made me think of 1963. I was in the middle of a project when I responded, and must have had the number 63 on something.

You are correct that Jan 1 was on Sat. in 66. My guess is that Sat, all by itself, was week one, even if the plant wasn't running because of New Year's day, and that anything built the next week would be week two, and so on until the last week of Dec. which would be week 53. Doesn't make sense if you are a stickler for what actual week of the month you were in, but GM didn't care about that.

John Z could tell us for sure.

Roger,
What if the door was built in the 1st week of 67? I am not sure but is there a correlation between run dates and build dates ? I believe that in was possible to have a door fabricated in as little as 1 week before the build date. Inversely I think there could be several weeks between run and build dates depending on problems in the stamping plant.
What happened to damaged sheet metal in the stamping plants? Did they repair damage and how long did it take ? How about damage in the Fisher Body plant before the tag was assigned. Damaged sheet metal I would not fit jigs very well.
In your case I believe the stamp was not reset and your door should have had a H01 run date. Do you have a run date on the other door?
Any one else have 01B with some run dates ?
