How is the drivers side portion of the dash supposed to be secured on a 1970? From just to the right of the gauge cluster all the way to the passenger side a-pillar it uses these clips:

On the drivers side, I have nothing? There is one stud sticking out from the dash but nothing for it to attach to. There is a tab a few inches to the right of the stud when the dash is in the car that looks like a mount, except for it being a few inches to the right lol.

All of these have the tabs and were mounted and secured:

This side did not:

I'm not positive myself, but isn't there tabs on the metal dash that line up with the holes in the dash pad above the instrument cluster?
I put some screws in the holes, they seemed to tighten up my left dash.
Mine did not have the clips on the left side.

Thanks Dale, there are 2 tabs there above those dash holes that I will throw some nut-serts (or whatever they are called) on and try that. I have that one stud though in the dash pad and for the life of me can't figure out why it's in a spot where there is nothing to attach to lol. Maybe it's a cheap knockoff dash pad.
