I do not race but once or twice a year. This past weekend we took the Camaro to our local 1/8th mile.
Launching at 5,000rpm and shifting at 7,000rpm, I was rewarded with a 6.86ET @ 101MPH...with a 1.48 sixty foot time.
There is still a lot more in this car when I get it sorted out!!
The ol'427 and 5-speed was a crowd pleaser too. Seems that everyone likes watching racers bang gears with a manual gearbox.

Hey Smitty, running real good and it looks like you still have room for improvement.Saw your post over on umtr ,great site for us gear bangers. Hoping to get a track day for mine before winter too. What clutch do you run in that .Im still trying to back mine down so i can leave at higher than 4500 without losing traction or a tooth filling.

I run a Centerforce DFX on an aluminum flywheel. It leaves best above 5,000rpm. I know that sounds crazy, but 1.48 60' times are not too bad for my car.

Very cool,love those stick cars!!!

You know how to fix that rev limiter issue don't you? Just unplug it and ignore it!! I tried one once on mine and it just annoyed me.
