Hi All as some of you know my Dad passed and gave me his 65 Buick Wildcat, before he passed he told me not to restore it ,he was a car guy, and that it would cost (as we know a $$$ ) to do a frame off or rotisserie and he didn't want me to put out that much $$$ ,so respecting his wishes' I will keep her a survivor driver ( for now ) . She is all stock and unmolested not missing a thing except the driver door chrome molding .
I have been hunting all over for this piece ,but no luck as how many 65 Wildcat 2 door do you see at cruse inn's or car show's ,so a rare piece it is (the chrome and maybe the car too ). Well I got lucky I did find a vendor dealing in Buick Old's Pontiac part's @ Billions & Trillions Inc. in Tulsa Oak. Well when he said the price I really was not to surprised and I maybe should of counter offered but didn't, and to my door the total is 400.00. YES you are not seeing double 400.00  I can here Pop's now YOU SPENT WHAT FOR THAT !!!!! But he would go for it as I did ..Good thing I am now not missing a thing on the car ,so down the road if I decide to do a freshen up or total resto I have got all and need no parts ,I can't imagine trying to restore this car like some of us are doing a 1st Gen .I could probley do 2 1st gens for the price of doing this car, I guess it all boils down to supply and demand as supply is almost non existent and demand well how many are left??? And who wants to try to do a car with no aftermarket supply as we see in our car's ,somebody call Chip and have him steal it and surprise me. Chip's off the air so that’s out. This winter if I can find stock seat cover's I will do that the rest is purity decent inside. If any of you know some good Buick vendors please send me the link ,I would appreciate it Thanks Jerome oh yah also
Happy motoring ... :)

It just goes to show you that we Camaro guys are a little bit spoiled with the plethora of OEM and repop parts available for our cars. That is why I always have a LOT of respect for the guys who have the off-the-wall cars restored to a T. I realize what they must have gone through to get the car to that point, even if it is not my cup of tea.

Register over on www.v8buick.com , you'll find a lot of fellow Buick owners in your area and most likely a less expensive parts source.

a guy down the street from me has a 64 wildcat that needs a new motor. he's having a heck of a time finding any good buick cores because all the hot rod types are snatching them up so they can have something different in their rod. so like was mentioned above.... lots of respect for you guys that give the rarer cars a go.

There is always www.yearone.com and if you google "buick parts" plenty comes up... Also don't forget www.teambuick.com for forums and classifieds...

Thank's Guy's ,I got Team Buick and a few others on my Favorites and a trip to the paint supply will be this week,,I called him @ exactly 8:15 am PDT as he wanted ,he told me to call back at 9:00 and I did ,so I give him my info again ( I know he deals in volume names everyday but you would think after 4 calls in 2 days, he would kinda remember me ,so I am told to call back tomorrow @ 9;00am ,and if he does find some ,he said a minimal charge for his time ,I told him I would not have a problem with that ,but when you sold me the door trim you would give me them the clips FREE..So tomorrow we play phone blow off, again this will be my last call ,I aint mad ,just let down ...such as life ,I am only short 2 clips (really 1 as 1 is cracked will work) and can get the molding to fasten fine with a little help from a dolup of silicone...

 Ain't a 'Single Provider' system GREAT !!! :D
The early Camaro parts supply market had some of these sorts in it also ... now if your service isn't good and your pricing fair you probably won't last to long :noway:

Like said earlier - go see a good body/pint supplier store or look online at places like - http://www.thefastenerwarehouse.com/page/page/584919.htm
You'll most likely find the exact clip - the GM guys didn't reinvent the wheel with each piece of trim or car, they bought them from outside suppliers and the same clip could often be found on a GM or Furd or Chrysler ... of course now they'd just glue them on :o
Use of more modern double-sided adhesive material may also be an option - the supply houses will have a selection of that also.

Networking your way through the Buick enthusiast site(s) will probably be you're best option for finding the stuff you need to restore your dad's Pride-and-Joy.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of your progress.

Eight (8) calls from WA. to OK @ $4.25 ea = $34.oo

Hope it works out and he actually does come through for you - I'm not gonna start holding my breath just yet, if that's okay with you ;)

I here ya john ,good thing for cell phones and unlimited long distance ,so nothing out of pocket for the calls ,I just was not going to give up easy ,not mad that just ruin's my health, he was so eager to sell me the trim piece ,and said ,"I'll through in the clips for free" that wasn't the clincher ,I would of bought the piece anyway ,I need it. Maybe I have to much integery /ethics and or also morals ,as I tell you something ,I'm gonna do my upmost to come through...these clips I was told by a vendor I called are a one off for that trim in 65 ,so ???? Happy motoring, BOC is comming to the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma and we are going to see and get some COWBELLS..

Hi All ,hope everyone is doing well ,I had to reply to my thread about the Clips issue (for my own integrity ) ,Frank @ Billions & Trillions Inc ,did come through with the clips ,look like the correct ones, kind of a run a round he put me through almost a dozen calls total to remind him daily to call back tomorrow ,but non the less he did sent them .Now lets just hope he didn't add a charge to my Credit Card ,as he originally stated "I will add them in for FREE . I just hope his integrity shines through and not his pocket book adding a charge to my CC. As we all know buyer beware when we buy from private junk yards, and not the big houses that have a reputation to up hold… So in the end I got a quality piece I needed and we live and learn …Happy Holloween to all :)
