Hello, new here. Have been on other Camaro boards, but this one seems more knowledgeable.

I'm being thwarted by a wiper switch. It is holding my instrument cluster panel hostage, and I need to get in there to replace the tach, temp, and bulbs. Currently in-process of restoring a 79z28. :D

Looks like I had made this post in the wrong interior section, sorry.

Nevermind. I decided to give it a tug and to replace the panel if it breaks, but it was just "fitted" really well.

I had a few second generations and the trick to removing the instrument cluster in these cars was to bend it slightly inward in the center then while gently pulling on the left and right sides to release. Slowly work back and forth until it has cleared enough to disconnect the various wires and speedo. The problem was generally caused by the soft rubber casting on the dash pad snagging the instrument panel. IMO
