I have a 68 Comaro with 5'' Weld Racing Wheels on the front & 8'' weld wheels with 5-1/2 back spacing on back with 275-15 BF Goodrich RadiaLS, the wheels are the ones with the cirlcle of round holes and center cap.Can anyone tell me if these wheels are clear coated or not,They have what looks like someone washed the wheels in soapie water and didn't dry or polish them,I have tryed everything from MOTHERS MAG AND ALUMINUM POLISH TO BRASSO,TO A MOTHERS POWER BALL AND I STILL CAN'T GET THE STREAKS OUT OF THE WHEELS,CAN anyone help me.......THANKS CAMARO BOB

Mothers has always done the trick for me and I have never had to use a powerball or any device like that. Usually just a couple of hours with the mothers polish will do the trick. Hopefully someone did not use an acid type cleaner on it and etch it. Probably take some real polishing to get through all that.

I made the mistake of using Westleys Bleach White for my white lettered tires on my Weld Pro Stars.
I thought I ruined them.
I posted my problem on here, and the best solution is to get a powerball and some buffing compound, like Mothers Mag Wheel polish.
Took a little time, but came out great, maybe a little better than when I got 'em.

Flitz it or the Powerball.... and LOTS of elbow grease... they'll come out.
BTW, those wheels are Drag lites.

The original Weld wheels werent clear coated, and if they got real bad,you could always wet sand them and start from scratch{pun intended} and polish them from there.I dont know about the new"Greg Weld" brand wheels{the ones with the flush mount lugnuts}.I dont know for sure if they are clear coated or not.
