Are there any options for replacing the inside rear view mirror with something maybe smaller or tighter to the roof? I've finally got this thing set up where it can take the curves but I can't see through the right hand ones.

I take it yours is a '69 ? I'm sure there's lots of aftermarket mods available that I'm not aware of but, an easy "upgrade" :p is to swap the 10" '69 mirror for a 8" '67-8...:)

Aftermarket offers a standard (9" ?) and a smaller (7" ?) I got the smaller of the two and it's still kind of big IMO

I had the smaller (67-68) in my 69 for a while cause i had an 8-71 on top, did make a diff.

If the early mirriors are to big, (67-68) you will have to get something out of a diff car and adapt maybe???

As weird as it may sound, you could do as the early vettes did...mount the mirrior on the dash. I held my mirrior on the dash for the heck of it, and it actualy worked, i could see out the rear glass no prob!

And it is noware in your view if you will.

I just put a late model mirrior in mine with temp, compass, and so cool, auto dim! About same size as a stock '69.

This is a good question. I'm tall and I suffer with big blind spots due to oversized mirrors in most cars. I think it is really dangerous for city driving! I'm using a convex baby mirror suction cup-mounted for my rear view in the Camaro right now. It's not optimal. At swap meets I look for smaller mirrors with pivots that glue to the windshield. I put one in my Toyota also.
Not orignal, but safer than a blind spot.

I had actually thought about the Corvette dash mirror. Now I'm thinking rear view camera.....Ha. They're down to like a hundred bucks now. I've already got some nice holes drilled in the bumper that some a-hole did for the air shock filler valves.
