I started to turn down a couple yrs ago out of a bit of 318 scrap....got about 1/3 of the way thru, and as one does on these sorts of jobs, one has time to think things thru...
The question is what is gong to wear...the striker that is easy to replace or the door latch....
I abandoned the idea.
