Hey folks, I need your help finding the rubber channel that seals the vent window glass into the vent window frame. It's probably very similar to the rubber channel that's used for the quarter window but as you know that's a straight peice. I've searched the forums and the big suppliers without luck.
To clarify... not the weatherstripping or vertical seal. If you've ever tried to pull the vent glass out of the frame you'll know what I'm talking about.
Thanks!

This came up a few weeks ago. As I can recall some one said a auto glass installation shop may have this stuff. I believe its just a flat rubber glazing material.

Thanks Roger, I've got a guy coming out to install my windshield on Monday, so I'll run it past him.

Make sure he paints the primer on nice and straight with minimal inboard coverage; just enough needed for the urethane. My shop, whom I've been using for over 15 years does a very good job. He paints the primer on a little loose, then wipes it clean leaving a straight border. I've seen some real hack jobs.

Go to a auto glass shop and ask for Oil tape.
I just did my windows on my 67 and and paid $1.50 for 3 feet of it and it worked great.
