Before I wreck something, can anyone tell me the best way to remove the chrome quarter window trim piece from the window (1969 Camaro). The window is still in the car!!
Thanks,
Don

Apply a generous amount of WD-40 or Liquid Wrench, let it soak for 15, lower the window halfway, with gloves that provide some grip hold the window with one hand and start working the top of the trim toward the front of the car, with a slilght back and forth motion, with your other hand. As the trim begins to loosen you may need to raise the window to allow more room. I did mine a few months ago like this with no probs... only diference was they were off the car. :)

Yeah, WD will help to soften and penetrate the old sealant. After you remove the rubber U-jamb seal, you'll see that the chrome molding doesn't follow the contour of the glass at the bottom. I'd suggest starting here... gently prying from the 1/4 jamb with a screw driver or something similiar. As a matter of fact, there's a chance if ya just hold the screw driver against the bottom of the chrome and lower the window (using the hand crank), the molding will peel right off
