Just wondering what your car weighs with driver?

The lightest the car has ever been is 3200lbs with me (I'm around 165-170),
this is with only around 2-3 gallons of gas, but its usually just over 3200.
Now the last time out the scales werent on, but I ran a full 15gals in the fuel cell
for traction (since my car is 57.6% nose heavy), and made the 10.08 pass on
ET drags mounted on 15"x8" vette rallies, which are a bit heavier too.

So with:
full fuel cell
rally wheels
paint job (I know I'm gettin picky)

I'm thinkin its right around 3300+/-lbs with me.
And its gonna keep gaining a bit here and there with some of the cosmetic upgrades,
and exhaust, but I do plan on gettin Aerospace front dics (to replace the stockers)
and eventually some of them nice perdy aftermarket aluminum heads. So I'd like for
it to end up around 3200lbs with a full cell, and if I can get it to 60ft consistent mid 1.40s
I'd like to try running less gas. So theres a chance it will end up being below 3200lbs
race weight - cool

Hope that long explamation of guesstamating gives you an idea of the wt.
But it really isnt too far off of the 3300lbs / 132.76mph / 625hp once you account
for the mild gear and stall of my combo.

So Todd, whats the work on your bigger cube motor?
when is that going in? that will be fun graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Thanks for the reply.

The bigger shortblock got put on the back burner for a few years. I wound up needing to replace my aging '89 Suburban. Wound up getting a lightly used (7000 miles) 2003 Dodge Ram SLT 2500 QC/LB 4x4 with the high output 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel. All my spare income is being used to pay the car payment.

Glad to hear the car is running so well...just a tail wind away from a 9 second pass.

The Malibu has picked up a bit this season as well. Some minor tweaks and chassis dyno tuning, plus going back to the favorite "fast" track picked the car up to a best of 10.48 @ 127 with a 1.46 60', still on BFG drag radials, full exhaust out the back and "tiny" 3" exhaust pipes. lol.

Dude --- dump them steel Ralleys and get into the 9's :D

When I dumped my steel Ralleys in favor of Centerlines I saved 24 lbs of rotating weight.

Just a question for 67rs502, what suspension are you running?? That 1.4 60' time looks pretty impressive to me!! Im struggling to get below 1.75!

Stock suspension with slapper bars out back, extended to hit under
front spring eye, and adjustable shocks at all 4 corners. Its taken me
a while to get it to hook decent (last time out) since I dont spend much
time at the track, only 2-3 times per yr. For around 5yrs its been skating
around for the first 10-15ft and 60ft was in the low to mid 1.50s. But shock
tuning took care of must of that, plus the thing is really nose heavy and
doesnt wanna wt. tranfer, it only pulls the wheels around 2" hookin.

Man those times make me want to get to the track this year. Only time I went last year couldn't get second gear. Have since reworked throwout bearing, clutch, put a new shifter in it. I wonder what my 68/502 would do?????? :D I have a very similar setup to 67502

May be hard to hook a stick car, but your mph should be good.
You got tires and any traction devises?
Is it a stock 502, or you got stuff done to it?
