My well liner is just a few original black shreds. Apparantly, some are screwing a metal piece over to hold it to the back of the rear seat. I have a repro from DR classic on order.
How does the rest of it install? Anyone have any photos? Is the balance tucked, glued or screwed?
Many thanks in advance!

The back get stapled to the same tack strips the top is attached to if memory serves me right.

The well liner is the 1st layer of the stack stapled to the tack strips. You remove the tack strips by unbolting them. Mark where your top and plastic window is stapled to the strips. Remove the top and plastic windows from the tack strips where well liner goes. The drape the well liner over the tack strips from the top, so that the underside is against the strip and you are stapling on the color side. This way when you look in the back window you see the liner right side up and the well liner drapes over the strips hiding them. Then re-staple the top and plastic window preserving the original locations. rebolt tack strip and check top tautness. If loose, pull everything back out and re-staple top tighter, if too tight restaple looser.
Pain in the "neck", but you have to do it this way.
