Hi all.

I'm having trouble nailing down the right color of paint. I have parchment deluxe seats in my '67 coupe. I want to spray paint the metal seat backs but can't find the right color. I bought interior paint from Rick's that shows Parchment 1967. It went on looking more like butternet yellow than an "off white" or "ivory" color. I now my seats are '67 deluxe so I have the right place to start. Anyone paint their parchment seat backs that can rec. a color/brand? I also can't help but wonder could these seats have faded to the off-white color?

I believe your trim tag would tell you the correct color. I'm in the process of redoing my seat backs which were painted white. I'm going to try Dover White made by Krylon. It's the Fusion type for plastic. I think it will match but not sure yet. My $.02.

I got a can of Dover White today and tried it on the plastic pieces that cover the seat hinge and it looks pretty close to the seat covers. I got it at Ace hardware. It's good for metal also, the only thing is that it's satin and I'd prefer to go with flat. It's good enough for now and much better than 'white'.
