I use Purolator PureOne filters. It's a step up from there regular filter. They seem to work fine on my 1969 396 SS and my TransAm. I think here in Ohio they cost $7 or $8.

i use the puralator which is a damn good filter. cheap and worth it. AC delco is also good. never used AC delco but have had all good comments on them.

I had come across that site a while ago. Interesting. I cut apart a Fram - what junk. I use Mobil 1 ( when on sale ) or AC Delco. Cheap protection. Oh yes, I also use sunthetic - Mobil 1 in my case but Amsoil and Redline are good too.

I run the AC delco filter on all my rigs(4). Never had a problem. Walmart sells the filter(PF35) for $2.44 that the dealer sells for $6.95. Until I traded the burb for a 98 pickup all my rigs used the same filter. It kept things easy.

We use the Baldwin filters on all our fleet. Over 30 units from pickups to tractors. I have not cut any apart but they seem to work very well.
I have noticed the AC and Baldwin air filters are very good. When you get an inferior air filter you can tell quickly on the farm, the carb gets dirty quickly.
With the AC or Baldwin the choke blade stays clean like new.

The Baldwin is a very good filter as is the AC. (remember, keep that GM car all GM) http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

Another brand of mention that you don't see around the small stuff is Donaldson. They are the pioneers in filtration. (They actually developed the very first air filter housing!) They are the OE supplier for CAT as well as 90% of the heavy truck mfg's.
