Does anyone know a way to successfully paint over chrome? We want to paint the trim and bumpers black. Would save money on buying new and we like the look. So what would be the best way to do that? Has anyone done it and had problems?

Have you looked into powder coating. I'm having all my emblems ,window trim ,tail light ***. etc..Powder coated black .

I painted my chrome oil pan on the new motor and it turned out fine. For bumpers I'd be a little worried about road debris chipping the paint though.
