Is an Edelbrock sp2p intake for a small block any good?

Looks like a predasser to the performer.

Thanks,
Mert

I had one of those more than 20 years ago.

It was basically an "RV" 4-wheel drive manifold, with that transfer port between 2 of the runners.

It worked real well for off road stuff.

It signed off after about 5 grand.

ZZ,

You are thinking of Holley's intake that Mr. Duntov designed that had the runner between the two rear runners that acted like a balance tube to keep the two runners from robbing each other b/c they fired back to back on the same side or something like that...

Boy, that's too long a sentence!!

BTW, yes, the old SP-2P is a very good lo-po manifold that can really boost the dynamic CR. of a lo-po stock, smog type engine when used with the right cam!... They are good for trucks and hevy cars that need a lot of lowend grunt!!

pdq67, I could have sworn the SP2P had the balance passage
