The horizontal stainless steel trim piece that wraps around the armrest on my 67 deluxe door panel came loose from the vinyl door panel. This is the section that wraps around the armrest near the door latch end of the panel. What is the recommended adhesive that I should use to re-attach this short section of the trim? This end of the trim has a little spring to it that pulls it away from the vinyl.

Why not just buy a new one?
You can't tell the new repo's from the original.
Why use a crappy piece?

The originals were attached by a "needle" that you pushed through and folded over.

that trim peace is supose to have small pins sticking out of it that go thru the panel and get bent over

The originals do have pins, but mine are glued on with grayish hard adhesive.

John that sounds like JBweld. I was going to suggest that but if you don't do a good job of cleaning up it could look bad.
