electric fuel pump went out can i use an inline pump to get me by for now , or do i need to remove the bad pump from the tank first

its in an 89 model with tbi so pressure wont be an issue just need to know if i can suck through the other pump

Steve, a topic that says "please help" gives nobody an idea of whether they can help. " elec. fuel pump problem" or similar wording will attract the guys that have those and can comment. Otherwise 'please help' is just not specific enough to garner the right help quicker. I will change the topic for you and put it in the 'engine' section where it will get more viewing. :)
