Hi Guys ...

Well today was fun ... after several years of this build, I was finally able to make my maiden voyage in the '68 ... It's a procharged 383 ...

Everything seemed to work fine except for 2 things ... My speedo doesn't seem to have power, will need to trace this down and the brakes didn't seem as strong as I would like ...

Everything is new on this car, so maybe it will just take some time for the pressure to build ... I'll probably bleed them again, just in case ... Any ideas for adjustment on the brakes ... It has "the right stuff" discs up front and then large drums on the 9" in the rear ...

All in all, it was a successful day !!!

Thanks to all of you for answering my qestions along the way and I'm sure that I'll have more during my ongoing relationship with the '68 ...

Here are a couple pics the wife took when I arrived home ...

From looking at this pic, the front end seems low but it doesn't rub at all ... I have adjustable springs on the front, do you think I should raise it a little?

Very nice Tim. The front looks just fine, now bring the back down to match and it's perfect. Did I hear someone say "raise", shame on you, lower is always better in my book.

How about some more info on the combination. How much boost?, Compression ratio?, heads? etc....

Nice car Neighbor! The gap we are seeing at the rear tire is probably compounded because you were turning into a driveway with a little uphill angle to it. Let's see a photo of the car from the side sitting on level ground. Nonetheless I think it looks good as it sits now.

Thanks for all the kind words guys ...

It's an all forged, 383 at approx 8.5 to 1 compression ... GM Fastburn Heads, Crower Cam, Doug's Headers ... Also has a Procharger D1SC and Intercooler, with a built 200-4R Trans, and a 9" Rear ... Looking for approx. 15 lbs. of boost ...

Here are a couple more pics ... The last one is how she looked when I found her ...
