Does anybody have any killer suggestions for tranny brake buttons?
Mine is on the steering wheel (like it always has been) and (like always) the cord keeps winding around the column and pinching in the wheel hub adapter. I am tired of it and would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

could you wire it thru the factory horn wiring and use a 2 way toggle to choose either horn or tranny brake? maybe move it to the shifter? put it on the dash panel right close to the wheel? foot switch of some type?

Shifter button comes to mind. I saw a wireless horn cap kit in Jegs or Summit that might work. I like the toggle switch / horn button idea that novaderrik suggested.
You can make some pretty trick latching relay circuits that will arm the circuit like a gun and release when say, the throttle position moves enough to contact a switch. If you'd like to know how that works, reply here and send me an email. I'll mail back a schematic.

my roll control is in the shifter and trans brake is in the steering wheel. i use a sprial cord(like the cord telephones) and it wraps around my steering column just fine.

I am using the spiral cord as well but when I am cruising the beach, the cord will occasionally hang up on the turn signal lever. I think that I will play with the cord a bit, maybe try affixing it to the column slightly in front of the signal lever.

Yes. You can never be too prepared.

did you try mounting the button on the other side of the strreing wheel? another way is to have some cord hanging down a little and mount the cord running down the steering colum on the top.

nate - I have always had my trans brake button positioned for my right thumb (and I am putting a nitrous button on the left side) so I would prefer to keep it on the right side. I think that I have a solution which will combine securing the cord and cutting back the turn signal lever by about half. Thank you for the thought and the reponses.
