My car just got soda blasted and new sheet metal installed.I'm going to take it home this week and store it in the garage for awhile until more funds become available. What should i have sprayed on it to keep it from getting surface rust on it?

You will need to neutralize the soda with hot soapy water and rinse it well,if you skip this step you will have an adhession nightmare on your hands. Then sand all your flat body panels with 80 grit on a da sander and spray a coat of "good epoxy primer"on it.

Good advise..
Since it was soda blasted I would take it through the car wash or something with high pressure and pay very close attention to the cracks/crevises. Like Crazy said, I would run a DA sander over the outer panels. Some metal conditioner probably wouldnt hurt?
I like the PPG DP90 sealer for bare metal, it gives the look of the factory style black e coat.

You should never have striped your car if you weren't thinking about shooting it with primer. You will need to get something on it to prevent surface rust from starting.

Correct, i strongly agree with this, but at the same token being he had it soda blasted, that does leave a film, it won't rust as fast as if it were sandblasted, But as stated you better be possitive to get that soda neutralized, other wise you are bound to have problems.. Personally i wouldn't take the chance with soda.
