For what it is worth my full pan went in through the rear seat/ trunk divider with the Y braces removed. The wing/wings had to be bent and massaged but it went in and you cannot tell now that it is all tacked in. It does not seem possible but that's how it went in. The hinges did not even come out. I never heard of this tactic before and thought it might give someone a different look on the project.

How well did the one piece 68 trunk fit once you got it in place? Any massaging necessary or did it line up well out of the box?

That's exactly how I installed mine yesterday--BUT my frame rails are removed when I slide it in place. It's tight--squeezing it inbetween the inner wheel wells, but it fits!

I have pics in my build thread of it all happening. I have a 69 Coupe.

6781 it looks like you had a little more room on your install, my pan was pushed in from inside the car through the back seat divider with the Y braces removed.

Appreciate the heads up. I've been trying to plan ahead and figure out what I need to do to get my trunk pan in. I'll try it too.
