I have a hole in my firewall below the master cylinder and to the right of the hole where the clutch rod goes through.. It's about 1 to 1.5" in diameter and is open.. What is supposed to go there?

67 RS...that hole is probably for the RS headlight wiring harness. If you have the 67 AIM it will show the hole and it purpose.

Yes, it is for my 67RS. I replaced the entire harness with an updated one from AAW. The harness just plugged in to the engine side fuse panel.. Any recommendations on sealing it? I don't see a plug on Rick's.. Thanks

It should be for the two RS vaccuum lines going to/from the headlight switch. It is 1" in diameter.

Brentmc,
67's did not have vaccuum actuated headlights....they were electric. ;)

I asked the same question a few month back...check out this thread.

Thanks, I missed the other thread in my search.. Since the harness I have is not stock for the RS headlights, how did you seal it? was thinking of cutting out of 16G and screwing it in with RTV, but a rubber plug would be best..Thanks

Measure the hole....I think it is 1" which is the same size as the speedometer plug.
