So ive been wanting to beefup my 89 RS when all of a sudden i come across an 88 IROC-Z with T-Tops! The car has a TPI 350, posi, premium rims, aftermarket fiberglass hood with a sexy ram intake, NO RUST (NO WINTERS) and the body is is perfect shape....it even has the origional paint job and the interior is in perfect condition. it has 96000 miles on it and he said that he used to take it to shows and people told him that it was a rarity (im not sure for myself that the #s match up). Assuming that this is the real deal, how much do you guys think that this ride is worth?? Kellys Blue for it is 6500 and he wants 6900 and is negotiable. the only work he has done to it was a new fuel pump and he had the heads redone when it hit 70k. Please give me your opinions because i am very VERY close to buying it.

I bought an 88 IROC-Z 1 year ago for $1600.00 Yes it needs some work, but runs like a bat out of he**. Mine has about 120,000 miles and has not had the head work that this car your looking at has had done. Truthfully, the car is worth what ever your willing to pay. I just don’t know about $6900.00. This is my 2 cents. At the price that I paid, I could part the thing out and still make money. P.S. I love my IROC!! http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

$6900 is steep! I just passed on a '88 IROC, 5.7 TPI, T-Tops, AC, CC, Tilt, PW, PDL, PM, P. Seat, Chromed Stock IROC Wheels, etc., etc. It had a marginal paint job, fair interior, but was mechanically sound. $2,000. For $6900 it would need to be about show car perfect. Just my $0.02. Good Luck. 3rd Generation Camaro's are alot of fun for the money!

Up here in North East Ohio it is hard to find a car, especially that old, with NO rust. My 89 RS only cost me $150 (yes, only $ 1 5 0 ) and it still turns heads and runs great! Ive been wanting to drop a new block into it and do the body work .But selling it how it is and getting the new one how IT is would make me break ahead of even.

My 89 T/A has all but one option available to it (the dual cats) with only 47k miles. I paid just over 6k for it. I agree, $6900 is a little steep.
