First time in the 61 year history of Nascar for a 4 time consecutive champion and first time for a car owner to have teams finish 1-2-3 in the points championship. Congratulations Team Hendrick :D.

I've had the privilege of getting a good look around the Hendricks engine shop when I visited Charlotte. It was amazing, like a NASA lab or nicer, clean is an understatement.
My friend Sandi (http://www.camaros.net/forums/member.php?u=34133) who is a member here at TC showed me around, she works in their engine shop and was a former engine builder before she went to Hendricks. The complex is practically across the road from Lowe's Motor Speedway kind of hidden in the woods.

Unbelievable accomplishment. IMO, its amazing how he can be such a dominant force and pretty much do it below the radar as opposed to Gordon, Earnhardt, Busch brothers, etc. Watch any prerace show and you see everyone but JJ. I am not a big fan of JJ, but he does not get the credit/recognition he deserves given what he's accomplished.

Just remember this is a team sport. While Jimmie is a very talented driver, his crew chief Chad Knaus is nothing short of amazing. Put the two together with the financial and technology back of Hendrick Motorsports and they are a force to be reckoned with.

While I'm not a huge fan of Jimmies, I agree he is a nice guy and underrated as a driver. Any bets on who wins the title in 2010 ?

If he doesn't die of old age first. He was mad as hell yesterday having to suck Johnsons exhaust. My son said he should have just bumped JJ out of the way, but that's not really his style.

My son and I toured a bunch of the shops down there in Mooresville and Concord last summer. Some of them look like hospitals inside! And everyone was so friendly.
