Not absolutely sure if John Duzac made the necessary back up run for the record in NHRA D/Stock with his '67 Z-28, but today he went 10.532 @ 125 mph at South Georgia Motorsports Park which eclipses the 10.54 set by a Ferd last year.
Great to see the 302 4 speed camaros running strong :)

I guess JM has his work cut out for himself. He thinks he can do 10.40 something per another thread on TC.

No one is sure about what happened yet. No data coming out of GA and for an NHRA event, that's not good for all the fans who keep up with this info.
Duzac's 10.53 is or would be a new record if he backs it up within one percent. I went 10.57 when I qualified at the Dutch.....DA was 900-1000 ft. Not bad but not great. Actually went much faster on Sunday (10.50-10.52 on the incrementals at 1000 ft.) as the air was better, but you can't set records on Sunday, race day. I was in race mode and making round wins so I could not run the car past 1000 ft without tapping the brakes and worrying about running too fast.......and trying to take the win light.
I was going to make the trip (about 750 miles one way) but in the long run it was too far and too much hassle on Thanksgiving weekend. Will try in the spring for sure.

Bias, radials do not work on stick cars in Stock Eliminator. And on that note, John Duzac did get the D/Stock record at 10.53 over the weekend. He confirmed this on the Class Racer site this morning. Congrats to John Duzac and George Peterson.

I thought that was/is the case. I certainly like how they perform on my footbraked, automatic equipped BBC powered Camaro. It's too bad the stick cars can't get away with running them. Easy .1 if they could.
I'd enjoy seeing a clip of the 10.53 run if it exists.
