I have a question for any of you guys out there. I have a deliema.........

I am a racer, and i have alot of knowlage about the sport and racing, as does my father, I am in the process of finishing off my camaro, and its shifter time. I have a TH350 trans, and was origionally going to go with the Hurst pistol grip quater stick, Now my father has used quter sticks forever and loves them. But he has also installed some of the Cheeta shifters on some friends cars, He said they are great shifters. Now hes got me thinking which would be better.....so im asking you`re guys opinion....

Should i go with the Pistol grip quater stick, or try my luck with the cheeta shifter?

I have used both shifters and have found the Turbo Action Cheetah shifter to be the best. It is a gate shifter, no ratchet action or parts to foul up. I once had my q-stick miss a shift and go from second into reverse! I now have a reverse pattern Dynamic t-350 and it works great!

the cheetah is i real nice shifter. another ratchet shifter i like better than the quarter stick is the b&m pro ratchet. it works nice, and the reverse lockout isn't as big of a pia as some others.

I hated my old quarter stick shifter.

The Turbo Action is such an easy piece to use and they last forever and the cable is very, very durable (it's a morse cable actually). In the long run, I think you would like the Cheetah better.

BTW, another option is the Winters shifter sold through ATI performance products...very similar to the Cheetah, but lacks the "T" handle and the line lock button.

If it were me, I would go with the Cheeta. I also like the Hurst " Promatic". Never had a problem with it, for the 3 years I used it. :D
