Anyone own or tried the gtech performance meter? Looking for a little feedback. Are they accurate? Are they consistant?

Thanks,
Andy

I have both models the cheaper gtehc pro and the gtech competition. They are fairly accurate and very consistent if you set it up right and keep the cheaper one at room temperature, the competition model has temperature compensation. You also have to understand how a drag strip measures et's and mph vs the gtech.

If you are into performance modifications than I would definitely reccomend it and I would say get the more expensive one if you can afford it. It will do 1/8 times as well as 60ft. Plus it will make cool graphs like this:

I got the cheap one and like it. I really don't have a g-machine or canyon carver so the cheaper version works just fine for me. A while back I posted the "accuracy" numbers as stated in the owners manual. If you do a search you will find it.

Oh yeah, where in southwest PA are you? I'm in Meadville several times a year to the see the "outlaws/inlaws." Nice country.

I bought one but wanted it for road racing info.
They just came out with the software for drag use, may be next year for the RR version.

I finally got a USB to serial adapter so now I can plug it into my laptop. I had to change the COM port selection to make it work.

You can download the Gtech Competition software for free (Gtech PASS) from their site, it has some sample files to play with.
