Hi Guys. I hang around at Team Chevelle but I though I would get a better answer here where there might be a few Z28 folks. There is a 3914678 bare block for sale locally here for 300 dollars. According to Mortec it is a 68 block and was used for the 302 as well as 327 and 350. Just thought I could put someone on to it that might be looking for a correct block

Is there an application code and partial VIN on the block? (what is stamped on the front passenger side of the deck of the block?) That casting was used for the 302, 327 and 350. Could be any of the three.

It was for sure a 327 as the original 3911001 crank is there. I was just wondering if because it was a one year only casting number if it was a very desirable block

Need to know stamped information from block to tell if it is from a Camaro or not. It would be worth more than that to the owner of the car it belongs in, especially if its from a Camaro.
