Has anyone had any experience (or know anyone) with the Pro Action Iron Lightning Heads that are distributed by AFR? Just curious.

Just curious. RickD Nov 26th, 00, 04:42 AM Not yet. I sent an e-mail to AFR to get flow numbers which I'll post as soon as they arrive. bravewink Nov 26th, 00, 11:32 AM I just took my AFR catalog to my brothers house so I can't give you the numbers today. They only list one set of flow numbers for those heads. I'm not sure if ALL of the heads flow the same, or if that's for the 235cc intake runner heads or what. I can say that the flow numbers they give are very similar to the AFR 190's. Keep me informed when they e-mail you back. Thanks. jasonmac Jun 9th, 01, 08:44 PM the pro action iron lightning heads flow 282cfm intake and 195cfm exhause RickD Jun 10th, 01, 04:00 PM If you do a search, I posted the complete flow numbers around november or so. If you can't find them, I'll dig them up. ------------------ Rick Dorion 69 RS Conv,355,M20,4:10 Big O Dave Jun 10th, 01, 07:42 PM Here's ProAction's website link; you'll find flow numbers for all of their heads: http://www.procylinderheads.com/ Big O Dave ------------------ Skippy Jun 11th, 01, 11:24 AM Spare yourself the misery. Buy yourself some Dart or World Products. I could never get mine to rune right. I switched to the Dart head and cured the problem. scottcleaver Jun 12th, 01, 03:37 PM The Pro Action heads that I have seen work very well on a big cubic smallblock that is spinning lots of RPM. They have a large port volume that is meant to be used in the upper RPM range. Probably not a great street head, not as good as what I have heard about the Dart Pro 1 heads. Just an opinion. ------------------ SCOTT 69 RS-SS 396 4-SPEED my69gofast Jun 12th, 01, 06:53 PM <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by RickD: If you do a search, I posted the complete flow numbers around november or so. Thanks for posting it, I have been curious about these heads. Did AFR specify which size head those numbers are for? RickD Jun 13th, 01, 06:02 AM No but their website says something like 220 intakes so I would agree with needing a bigger cube motor. I'm at the point of either Dart's ( iron ) or Trick Flow ( aluminum ) in a 200cc intake size. Both are around $850. ------------------ Rick Dorion 69 RS Conv,355,M20,4.10's |
