I'm thinking about buying a Edelbrock Performer RPM air gap intake for my 396 in my 69 but on the Summit website it states "Will not fit under stock hood of Corvette, 1965-67 Chevelle, or 1967-81 Camaros. "
Does anyone here have one on a BBC with the stock cowl hood? Does it fit ok?
I'm hoping they mean it doesnt fit under the flat hood, because this is the intake I really wanted to use on my 396.

Aaron It fits my BBC 69 Camaro with a stock cowl hood and with a drop down air cleaner.

I have one as well watch how you plumb the fuel line so you can use a drop base.Dont get the plate for the regulator as I did because a drop base wont work....

I actually just ordered over 700 dolloars worth of parts for the 69:o
Along with the intake I ordered a EMP Stewart water pump and thermostat, some new ARP thread chasers, and a bunch of gaskets.
Then I can get the 396 all back together:hurray:
