I have trouble putting gas in my 69. The tube sits flush against the trunk floor, and is behind the bumper a bit. This makes it tricky. The end of the gas nozzle just barely goes in. Is there any way to adjust or remedy this problem? Also where can a locable gas cap to be had?

I installed a new tank in my 69 purchased through classic industries non OEM. I had to use 1/2" thick rubber shim between the tank and trunk floor just back of the bracket bolt. This gave me a little more than 1/2" between the top of the filler neck and the trunk floor. Make sure you do not over thighten the hold down brackets. Good luck.

I made the mistake of purchasing a repo tank for my L89 car im doing and the tube did the same thing. After looking at it a bit I took a strong arm with a rag around it and did a little adjusting.Go slow and dont take it too far and you can bend it where you want it to be.
