I want performance, but not too much noise! Also, I don't want heat and resonance problems. Please give me your opinions. Thanks in Advance.

[I just bought a set of flo-pro mufflers. They look just like flowmasters, but claim they flow better. The big thing here is I think they are cheaper since the guy installed the entire system on my car (78) for $200. The shop was called muffler man in SouthBend

I know popular opinion is flow's.. The question was "not too much noise"!! Dynomax makes some mufflers that are quiet at idle and when cruising but let a little noise out when you jump on it. Thet are a straight through design and have been track tested and I have seen results where they held their own against straight headers...

Upon your recommendation Dennis, I called Dynomax Tech Support. They recommended the Super Turbo Line, which is quieter than the straight through Ultra Flow Line. Both lines are guaranteed for life. Jegs Performance didn't carry the right muffler, but Summit Racing does. For my car, it's part #wlk-17495, which sells for $154.95 + $5.00 shipping.

Further for my car Magna Flow has a muffler, but it's universal fit. I rather have the one from Dynomax, that is custom fit for the car. With your help, I think I found the right muffler for me. Thanks, again.

From a noise perspective, I think Dennis is on the money. Dynomax Turbo's are something I can live with in the noise department, although they will sound off if you stand on it.
For a street driven car, horsepower differences between most mufflers are minimal. Drag race motors might notice a little difference, but noise may be a limiting factor on the street.

My flowmaster 2 chamber delta flows sound exactly like you guys describe the dynomax turbos. I drive the car daily and have no interior resonance. Plus, I have a set of dynomax jet-hot coated headers on my car that I am very unhappy with. They fit good, but the coating is peeling off and the pipes are rusting after about a year. Plus, I've had bad problems with leaks. I'm not convinced about dynomax's quality.
