Hey guys i just installed a new rad support into my 67 camaro , the rad support came out of a 67 firebird ,the sub frame was also just installed its the the original,now the rad support does not seem to fit level on the frame it sits a half inch high on the drivers side,i was told the rad support was the same..any ideas..

It would help to post some pictures. Did you check to see that the body mounts are in properly?

The cars in the body shop,i just called and asked them to double check the mounts..i'm hopeing that they got them right cause they are different front to back.

Ok does anybody know if the sub frame is shimmed on these camaros ,i took this car apart 2 years ago i cant remember if it had any shims between the bushings and the body ,i have 2 big washers left over and im not sure if there the shims or left over washers the body shop thinks there should be shims ??

No shims as far as I know but you can get some adjustment by tightening bolts and compressing either the front or rear bushings etc if they are rubber. If they are all not tightened down properly it could cause a problem like you are seeing.

If they have pt the chassis donuts in the wrong places, left out the big washes and stuff it will cause issues....
The mounting bolts should al be toqued up even and correct torque...over or under torquing cause issues with handling and with the donuts breaking down/splitting etc.

We went back and checked over bushings,washers and torque and it ended up being the rad support i bought 2 years ago ,i guess i know why that guy was selling it !! oh well ,found another one and its good so back to work i go, thanks again for the input..
