I am test fitting the interior. I have PUI panels. The rear interior panels have some redundant vinyl. Does this get glued behind the panel or pinched with the windlace?
Pictures of this area would be appreciated.

Sorry I dont have pix but the excess material should be glued over the pinchweld then the windlace goes over the top (no glue on the windlace). I'd just apply the glue to the inner side of the pinchweld, not on the outer door jamb side. Some folks skip the glue entirely but from what I've seen, the material doesn't stay taut as the windlace is installed and leaves wrinkles in the panel.

Gar is correct! Follow his advice and you should be fine! If you fold it back it will show an uneven gap between the panel and windlace....BTW.....REPRO windlace SUCKS!!!! WE sell the generic stuff from the Uph shops because the REPRO is too thick, it usually makes the doors hard to close!

That is exactly what has happened to me now. I'll be in touch Monday Matt. I'm glad I didn't do what a friend recommended. He said the problem was the installation of the new quarter caused this issue and that I would have to trim down the pinchweld length so it didn't partrude toward the door opening as far. I just about had heart failure, car's painted, interior is completed. What tha?

Hey Gang, I'm at the same stage now with my 69. Part of the vinyl is glued behind the PUI panel towards the top. Does mean only 70% get glued around the picnhweld, or should I remove all the excess even towards the top to cover around the pinchweld?

I pulled all the edging out right to the top and wrapped it all behind the pinchweld.. Looks good!
