Good Morning, I have a bbc with an older weiand 6-71 supercharger. I bought a new intake for this thing and put it on over the weekend. I noticed that when I put it on that the pulleys did not line up (blower snout and crank pulley) so I bought a 2 inch spacer (needed 1 inch bigger from the original) that made the pulleys line up but that did not make the idler pulley line up with the blower pulleys. The standoffs that the idler pulley bracket use are 1.5 inches and they need to be 2.5 inches. Has anyone else ran in to this before? I called weiand tech help and they didnt really have an anser. Any suggestions? I havent been able to find standoffs that would have the correct threads. The intake fit ok but I still dont understand why it sets the blower 1 inch farther back towards the trans as compared to the original craggar intake that I have.

Would it be possible to post a picture? It is very possble the offset of the manifold is different since you went from the old style to a newer style. Usually the blower itself has the offset buit in.
As long as you get everything to line back up you should be fine. I can see how it would be a pain though, hopefully your linkage and fuel lines workt out. What made you change the intake? You may want to try calling BDS or The Blower Shop to see what they say.

Any machine shop should be able to wittle up longer stands with the correct thread.
Not sure if you can purchase them seperataly from weiand.I think they come as hardware included with idler pulley bracket.
