Does anybody have any suggestions on where to look for any info on this electic fuel pump. I am having some fuel delivery problems, and just want to eliminate the possibility that the pump is to small.
When I got the car the pump was installed, but he installed the pump side ways and about a foot above the bottom of the tank.(the fuel pickup is in the bottom of the tank and the arrow on the fuel filter says how to mount it.
I know that the pump was installed wrong but I don't know how much this will effect the efficiency of the pump.
Thanks

I did a little looking but the Carter electric pumps have a part # that reads Pxxxx. Are you sure that is the part #? Any other markings?

I double checked and there are no more numbers on it anywhere. The pump is probably 5-6 yrs old by now, I thought that I could find it in one of my old SUMMIT books but of course they all got lost when we moved last year, not the end of the world if I can't find out what it is, I'll just reinstall the pump properly and see how it works. Thanks for your help!

You might want to try looking for info at a truck parts or motorhome type supply store.
Those pumps aren't considered the trickest HP part anymore but they are common for light truck type replacement parts.
Ran one on my pick-up for many years in the 70's - like 70GPH delivery and 6~7PSI spec.s if I remember right.
I didn't think they were bad pumps.
Oh - do wire through an oil pressure cut-off device just in case. Do a search on here for more info - it should come up.
