: HELP needed in vegas!
danyboy1409 Mar 1st, 10, 02:03 PM hey guys me and my dad are restoring a 67' camaro and the windows are holding us up! we havent touched the car in over 8 months because of the windows! we have tried to adjust them and just cant get them.
if someone who lives in vegas would like to help us out and maybe come over drink some beer and see if we can get them adjusted finally! once they are done the rest of the interior can be finished!
thanks!

jet-tech1 Mar 1st, 10, 07:34 PM Well I haven't messed with those yet so I'm not sure I can help at all but if you're confused as to what goes where, I'm restoring my 67 too and I live in the Henderson/Green Valley area. You could always come over and take a look as to how everything is arranged. But I'll need time to get the door panels off. I haven't done that yet either. But seeing a door/window that is put together might help. Might be a good idea to bring the door & window with you if it's possible to do it on the spot. LOL... if you choose to do this it'll be interesting explaining to the wife what strangers are doing in our garage. And don't worry about the beers... I don't drink ;)
danyboy1409 Mar 3rd, 10, 01:04 PM how much would a ticket be?! lol we've tried to find a shop in town to adjust em and are willing to pay just to get them done with! like i said its keeping us from completing the interior and working on the car at all.

Well it's really starting to get nice here now I think we might have got up to 40* today so I don't know if I need to go somewhere else now. There are plenty of theads on how to adjust you windows here. Just study them then go to your car & start playing with it youy will see what you need to do.
alanrw Mar 4th, 10, 04:28 PM Al, I am assuming those instructions are for the 68-9 doors? No separate wind wing vent present in those pdfs.

400bird Mar 4th, 10, 08:47 PM The whole wing window adjusts as an assembly.
Its been a while but, if I remember right...
The in and out tilt is at the bottom of the window track, and the front to back lean is in the door jamb.
Adjust from the front to the back (wing, regular window, then quarter window)
Make sure you can roll the windows up and down with the doors closed. Also open and close the doors with the windows in different positions to make sure everything is good.
Took three tries and I keep wanting to do a fourth, but its been 2 years.
