Was curious if anyone could tell me how i could find out the last vin and or body numbers for the 68 z/28s. I have an 07E car, vin is 482159.

There wont be any data base that knows the answer to your question. A vin or body number wont tell you anything about a 68 camaro options like if its a Z28 or RS or big block. Vin only tells you if its a coupe or convertible and V8 or 6 cyl. Not which V8 or 6. A z28 could have been the very last car built but there is no way to know, Chev. didnt keep those kind of records. CRG (www.camaros.org) would have some data but none that can give you a 100% accurate answer on your question.

For Norwood the last June VIN was 482588 and the last July VIN was 484735

My 68Z is 07c 479445 vin always thought mine was pretty late also.

Again, no way to know if those Vin and Trim tag numbers were a Z28 or not, that was his question. :)

Indeed it is a Norwood car, as there were no 68's from LA with a VIN starting with 4.

My other 68z has a vin of 475279 and it is an 07C car,seems like a big spread from the other 68z mentioned in this thread. How many cars were made in a week. Mine must have been built the first of the week and the other one at the end of the week. Pad stamp VO711M0.

912 per day, 4560 per week at Norwood.

560 per day, 2800 per week at Van Nuys (but only half of them were Camaros).

not realy, most plants ran 60( lordstown , ohio ran 100 vegas per hr). thats why in the 70s la was on lay off most of the time

Standard red interior, white exterior with black stripes. Has the M21 and a 3.73 posi.

My car is pretty basic. Lemans Blue w/ blue standard interior, no tach or gauges. Here is a picture of myself and the original owner.

Do you have a build sheet? "under gas tank" "back seat" ????

I bought my car from the original owner, who bought the car new when he turned sixteen.The protecto plate was in the glove box still in the envelope form the dealersip.He parked the car in 84 until i bougth it in 2006,it had 49000 mile and still had the original paint and didnt look to bad.But me being a bodyman i had to restore it.
