treyman Sep 14th, 00, 02:04 PM I've got a brand new GM intake for my 396. The part # is 3933163 it is the dual plane that came on the LS6 454. The question is does anyone know if I would gain anything by machining the center plennem just like the Air Gap intake. Just a thought. Dont leave it square edged like they do- only machine down about .200, and then roll the edges away gently with a die grinder. Any sharp edges in the intake will peel the fuel out of the air and you'll end up with wet fuel on the floor of the plenum.
