I've got a brand new GM intake for my 396. The part # is 3933163 it is the dual plane that came on the LS6 454. The question is does anyone know if I would gain anything by machining the center plennem just like the Air Gap intake. Just a thought. Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike- If you machine the plenum divider you'll pick up a little bottom end at part throttle. Dont leave it square edged like they do- only machine down about .200, and then roll the edges away gently with a die grinder. Any sharp edges in the intake will peel the fuel out of the air and you'll end up with wet fuel on the floor of the plenum.

Hey Treyman!! check complete instructions from chevy highperformance manual(as know bowtie bible) but i wouldnt do it unless the engine is 454(for keeping the lowend torque)
If you wantto step to 90īs try new Performer RPM manifold.it out performs old gm anyway!
